Chioma Ikeh is an Australian-based registered nurse with a robust and diverse background in both general nursing and mental health nursing. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Her educational journey began in Nigeria, where she earned a Bachelor of Economics from Ebonyi State University.
Chioma currently works part-time as a clinical nurse at Barwon Health Geelong, where she applies her expertise in various nursing fields. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as the practice manager at Tumbarumba Medical Practice, utilizing her nursing skills to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Furthermore, she holds the position of business manager at Tocumwal Doctors, Roths Corner Medical Center, and Tumbarumba Medical Practice, showcasing her leadership and managerial capabilities
Known for her compassion and down-to-earth personality, Chioma actively volunteers at her local church, where she brings her nurturing and caring nature to support community members. Her passion for rural healthcare drives her to reach those with limited access to medical services, a mission she wholeheartedly embraces through her involvement with the HCIKE Foundation
Chioma has also volunteered for several years at the Geelong Refugee and Asylum Program, demonstrating her commitment to helping vulnerable populations. As a dedicated mother, she consistently volunteers at her children's school canteens and other charity shops, further highlighting her strong community spirit.
Before relocating to Australia, Chioma lived in the UK with her husband, Dr. Emeka Ike. Together, they co-founded the Fatfleshed Ministry, a charitable organization. Chioma efficiently managed multiple roles within the ministry, including secretary, homeless outreach director, and financial secretary. She organized prison visitations, soup kitchens, Christmas parties, and gatherings for the homeless, demonstrating her dedication to social service and community support
Chioma is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management in Australia, further expanding her knowledge and skills in the healthcare sector. Despite the challenges of balancing her studies, work, home life, and charitable endeavors, she remains committed to her roles. She is a devoted mother to her two children, Chidi (son) and Adaeze (daughter)
